Perhaps you’ve journeyed with a friend as they travelled from spiritual death to spiritual life. Perhaps you’ve wondered, “What’s next?”

Following the life of Simon Peter, The Captive and the King’s Will guides the new believer into the next steps of what it means to follow Christ. Assuming the reader has little or no previous exposure to church or Christianity, The Captive endeavours to touch on key sanctificational truths, grounding believers in their new-found faith as they pursue a walk with the Lord.

“I’m confident this book will be a resource that new believers and older believers...

will not only read once, but return to again and again.”

— Reader review

Excellent follow up book for new believer after finishing In His Name.

Posted by Bonnie Mee on 30th Jun 2020

It took over a year to go through the By This Name study with two Chinese young mothers new to the United States. They are here as their husbands do post-doctoral work in the States. One of the ladies began attending our along with her husband and young children. She was interested in doing a Bible study and invited a friend to join. The ladies were interested in improving their English and learning more vocabulary and American culture. I am learning much about slowing down my expectations and helping with pronunciation, word meaning, and explaining idioms. One of the ladies trusted Christ and is eager to learn more and grow in Bible knowledge, understanding, and application. The other is interested in our friendship and is continuing to attend (now via Zoom because of COVID-19). I'm praying that God's word will touch her heart as we read and discuss.

This is an excellent resource for understanding and reviewing foundational truths from Scripture, whether you are a new or a mature believer. The Lord has given the author a unique gift for communicating these vital truths in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. I have been blessed greatly in reading this book, and will use it as an aid in teaching the Bible!
